Many young college students work a part-time job to get through the semester. One particular student got a job at a restaurant and wound up going viral for the kindness and compassion he showed to one of the restaurant’s patrons.
Lee is a 51-year-old from Raleigh, North Carolina. Despite his cerebral palsy, he’s quite independent and works at Kroger. Without use of his hands he has difficulty eating.
One night Lee and his mother went to dinner.
They decided to try the Oyster Bar on 42nd Street. Their waiter, a college student named Five, noticed Lee’s mother struggling to feed him in the restaurant. Five made a world of difference with a small gesture, and act of kindness that went viral. He decided to feed Lee.
“Seafood is best eaten hot, so I didn’t want her food to get cold. I didn’t want his food to get cold,” said Five, “I just wanted to help a fellow man out.”
Now they are friends.
