Nene Leakes Responds to Report That She Was Fired From Real Housewives of Atlanta

Yesterday is was reported that Real Housewives of Atlanta star NeNe Leakes was fired from the Bravo reality show. The report came via blogger B Scott.

Scott reported that Leakes was not offered a contract for Season 13, with the other cast members receiving their letters on Friday. The blogger cited anonymous sources and noted that Eva Marcille was not returning to the series either.

While Leakes has apparently been unhappy with the network for some time, the final straw was when she reportedly retweeted a call for Bravo head honcho Andy Cohen to be fired, B Scott wrote.

Leakes has had a volatile relationship with Bravo over the last few years. B Scott shared a screenshot of a deleted tweet from the Bravo star, which read, “You are NOT going to get away with this! I promise.”

Leakes was suspended at the beginning of Season 12 because of an altercation she got into with a crew person from the previous season. She was combative with producers throughout Season 11, missing multiple episodes, walking off the set while they were filming in Greece and displaying the same type of behavior during the digital Season 12 reunion.

However, I had to wait before posting the story.

NeNe has now Responded:

“We are in negotiations! Not sure where these rumors are coming from!” NeNe told Entertainment Tonight. “If these negotiations don’t work out, I will announce it myself.” She also made that clear on Twitter, writing “I promise I’ll be the first to tell you myself! Thanks you for the love.”

Meanwhile, Bravo told Entertainment Tonight that “There is no truth” to the story that NeNe had been let go, saying “NeNe was not fired and conversations for the next season are still ongoing.”

So was B. Scott paid to post the story to garner NeNe attention in her negotiations, or did B. Scott just make it up?

That’s the real question. Hopefully he was paid.
