Bethenny Frankel just couldn’t hold in her disgust when she saw a photo of Kylie Jenner‘s daughter, Stomi Webster coming down her timeline, rocking an extravagant school uniform.
Kylie – who is worth an estimated $900 million – posted a back-to-school-style snap of her toddler, sporting a light pink Hermes Taurillon Clemence Kelly Ado Backpack, which retails for a wallet popping $12K.
Bethenny, 49, took issue with the picture, writing on Instagram: ‘I never say anything about this stuff but this is the most transparent humble brag I’ve seen yet. It’s everything wrong with everything.’
However, after receiving some backlash, Bethenny defended her comment on an Us Weekly Instagram post, adding: ‘I’m no stranger to an @Hermes_Paris bag & have a daughter & luxury cars, but flaunting (under the guise of a back to school post) during a pandemic & the greatest unemployment crisis in our lifetime is a choice.’
Other people were also disgusted.
The Kardashians are some amazing manifestors I tell you. They cross bred with black men to create black kids and cross pollinated both cultures for a full pop culture take-over. Genius I tell ya.
But as far as Bethenny going off, it’s not Kylie’s responsibility to cater to those less fortunate. After all, people follow her because she is fortunate. People like being stunted on, even if they don’t realize it. Of course the post was a brag. It’s not like people expect to be educated on Kylie’s page. And if it were any every day baller mom, I’m sure they would’ve done the same thing.
You can’t hate on what other people buy their kids.
If celebrities weren’t WEALTHY then most people simply wouldn’t be impressed with them. People are inspired by Kylie’s wealth.
As a wealthy woman Kylie has every right to dress her kid in high fashion. It’s not her fault that other women can’t afford to blow $12K on a book bag for a kindergartner. 😭
Secondly, it’s social media. Every post is about branding and attention. It is what it is.
