NeNe Leakes tried to take her dismissal from Real Housewives of Atlanta gracefully like a champion should. But the pain must’ve set in when she realized she wasn’t as valued as she thought she was.
In the weeks that followed NeNe went off on Bravo, Andy Cohen, and even former friend Wendy Williams.
A tearful NeNe recently told Tamron Hall that she was treated unfairly and wants equal treatment is accordance with the respect given in accordance to other ‘Housewives’ franchises. Yet, when asked squarely if she wants to return to RHOA, her response is baffling – in light of what she says she’s lobbying for.
But while breaking down in tears crying over losing her job, when asked if she still wanted to be on the show, NeNe said no.
Which is pretty confusing.
Watch below:
I think black women need to realize that they are a whole separate entity in this world. They receive unfair treatment from just about everyone.
And when it comes to television, you can be the HBIC charge who built the brand, but they don’t need you anymore. So although NeNe’s antics may have been no different from any other franchise employee, she’s still a black woman. And let’s be honest. NeNe be doing EXTRA. She has to get along with cast members at some point.
They are not going to let you get too out of control.
Not many feel sorry for NeNe. Personally I know that once she wipes her tears, NeNe will be okay and will build another brand. She’s a warrior.
A business tip for any black woman is to build your own brand, that’s under YOUR control.
