Mary J. Blige Says Ex-Husband Kendu Issacs Claimed Singer Was Old, Washed Up, Fat & a Has Been

When Mary J. Blige first met Kendu Issacs, he started out right, encouraging Mary to practice abstinence before they got married and helping her with her music career.

How could that possibly go wrong???

Well it did. Once Mary got married to Kendu, he told her that she couldn’t have any male friends, which is a weird request for a woman in an industry ruled by men.

He then told her that she was “done, fat, and old”.

Blige said that she was suffering and needed a rescuer but realized later that no one could save Blige unless she were ready to face the pain.

After she divorced Kendu Isaacs, the actress found love for herself. She then made it known that things would keep getting worse until people learned to love themselves the right way.

So now we’re done to the reason I started this conversation.

A lot of celebrity women and high profile women haven’t done the work to truly love themselves because they’ve been too busy working and being successful.

However career success doesn’t always spill over into relationships.

When you’re successful in business, that’s a GREAT time to INVEST in your uplevel in relationships.

When you don’t love yourself and a man can just control you and tell you to do anything, he will begin to demean you and take advantage of you.

Lastly, when you don’t understand that relationships are like a game to men, and you don’t realize it’s a game and provide a CHALLENGE for him, he’s going to get bored with you. Especially if you’re a boss chick financing your man. He’s only going to take the money he saves with you, and use it to spend on another woman who is feminine and isn’t PROVIDING money for him.
