Omari Hardwick Reveals He ONLY Got Paid $150K per Episode on Power & 50 Cent Had To Borrow Him Money

I don’t watch t.v. but I definitely signed up for STARZ to watch every episode of Power and every sequel too.  When t.v. was the most boring thing on the planet,  business tycoon 50 Cent showed up with a historical masterpiece that gave his core audience a ton of joy.

There is no denying the cultural impact of the popular STARZ series.  The show and it’s sequels continue to rise in prominence, along with the sequels and the actors too. In fact, it appears that everything 50 Cent touches, turns to gold. Including his arch nemesis, rapper The Game.

With the impact of the main character Ghost, played by  actor Omari Hardwick, you may or may not be surprised at the pay that Omari received for every episode.

During his recent appearance on the Pivot podcast, Hardwick shared that he was ONLY receiving $150,000 per episode during the show’s entire six-season run, and he felt like he’s just now getting to the point where he’s getting paid what he deserves.

Ryan Clark: Angela Bassett makes $250K on 911. She’s the highest-paid a week. So, you had to make $150K at least.

Hardwick: Then no, you got it right. The first time I have ever disclosed it! But I was also the face of the network. Angela is not the face of the network, she is one of the best actresses to grace the planet, but she is not the face of that network.

He later added, “I still haven’t made what I should have made. I still never made the money. No, the money—I never made what I should have made. Never. Period. It’s happening now, finally.”

Hardwick then went on to reveal that over the summertime, during Power’s first two seasons, producer 50 Cent lent him a little over $40,000 in an effort to help the actor “take care of his family”

So, for me to give back to 50 with interest, I was so proud to be able to do that. And it was early, he like damn O you can’t be messed up you need money. It was the summer after season one [Power] and the summer of season two [Power]. He gave me $20k, and the next summer, he gave me $23k and absolute because he adores J and the kids. He might like them more than me. It was given like take care of the family, bro. Use that,” said Hardwick.

Omari has been married to Jennifer Pfautch since 2012.

The last episode of Power aired back in February 2020. The series has since evolved into three spinoff shows: Power Book II: Ghost, Power Book III: Raising Kanan, and Power Book IV: Force.

Power has ran for 63 episodes thus far, with the character Ghost being capped by dying in episode 10, but still having airplay till episode 18.   So Ghost made at least $1.5 Million in those 2-years.

Sounds like mismanagement to me. This is an area that a lot of people could work on. We must also have gratitude for God allowing us to live the manifestation of our dreams. For gratitude multiplies everything.

Omari now is one of the most recognized faces in the culture, with a net worth of $5 Million.

At the end of the day, 50 Cent changes lives.  We ladies would definitely like to thank him for the evolution of Method Man. Lawd!

We get to see some of that ism that Supahead was talking about…. If you know what I’m saying.
