Woman Says Female Attorney Offered BRIBE to Lie About Trey Songz Sexually Assaulting Her Friend

A recent twist in the Trey Songz case is looking like a mistrial.

A woman involved in the most recent lawsuit against the singer says an attorney for Songz’s alleged victim offered her up to $200,000 to change her story and make Trey the bad guy … a claim the attorney denies.

TMZ reports:

If you haven’t followed along, Trey’s in the middle of a sexual assault lawsuit filed by a woman named Jauhara Jeffries — who says he violated her at a 2017 New Year’s Eve party in Miami.

We’ve obtained a transcript from a recent court hearing in the case, where a woman named Mariah Thielen testified she met with Jeffries’ attorney, Ariel Mitchell, in April 2021 at a bar in Miami. Thielen says Mitchell smelled like weed during the meeting, and was carrying a gun.

According to the transcript, Thielen — who was with Jeffries the night of Trey’s alleged assault — says Mitchell offered to pay between $100k-$200k if she’d lie and say she witnessed Trey sexually assault Jeffries … and claim that Trey assaulted her too. Mitchell allegedly said she was trying to paint Trey as “the next R. Kelly.”

Thielen says Mitchell’s plan was to take her allegations to Trey’s team in hopes of coming to a monetary settlement, and her lies would help to make that amount larger … again, this according to the transcript.

Thielen claims she turned the offer down — saying she wouldn’t have lied for even $10 million — and reported the meeting to Trey’s legal team a short time later.

Mitchell denies the claims, telling us, “We’re highly confident and certain the court will find the witness committed perjury. Parties are still awaiting the judges’ further instructions on how to proceed given the witness’s inconsistent testimony during the hearing.”

Mitchell’s partner, George Vrabeck, withdrew from the case, stating there was “multiple grounds for withdrawal” that existed under the Florida Rules for Professional Conduct … but Mitchell says that’s only because, “He will be representing me against the parties involved in this disgraceful motion brought by Trey Songz and his representatives.”

Interestingly enough, both Ariel and George withdrew from a case where they represented a woman who accused Chris Brown of rape and sued for $20 million. Both dropped out shortly after Chris posted a series of texts and voicemails from the woman, making it seem as is they were friendly. Ariel told us she withdrew because she was not aware of the messages.

KISSY’S OPINION

SAD. This sounds like a witch-hunt and not good for women who truly experiencied sexual assault. It makes it even more difficult for them to want to come forward, as they already think that nobody will believe them. Women also hate to the cause of “ruining a man’s career,” by going public about a powerful man’s illicit behavior.

THE BACKSTORY

Singer Trey Songz is accused of assaulting a woman at a Miami nightclub on New Year’s Day in 2018.

The woman identifies herself in a civil lawsuit as Jauhara Jeffries. The suit was filed in Florida.

Jeffries alleges in the suit that she met Songz after she attended a New Year’s Eve party at Diddy’s home on Star Island.

It says Jeffries partied for about two hours and then called for a ride-sharing service to take her and some friends to E11EVEN nightclub in Miami.

Songz, whose real name is Tremaine Aldon Neverson, was leaving Diddy’s home at the same time when he overheard a conversation between Jeffries and her friends and invited them to ride with him to the club, according to the lawsuit.

It says Songz appeared inebriated and accuses Diddy, whose real name is Sean John Combs, of hosting a party where Songz was served alcohol until he was intoxicated.

The suit alleges that Songz invited Jeffries and her friends to join him at a private table at the club. It alleges that while Jeffries was dancing on a couch, Songz sexually violated her with his fingers. It accuses him of pulling his hand away when Jeffries turned around, the suit says.

“Plaintiff immediately got off of the couch, sat down, and was in a state of shock,” the lawsuit says. Another woman who went over to see what was wrong with Jeffries told her that Songz had also violated her with his fingers, the suit claims.

Eventually, Songz, Jeffries and her friends left the club and got back into his vehicle, according to the lawsuit, which claims that Songz took his shirt off during the ride and that “fearing more assault, plaintiff began recording defendant Songz for her own safety.”

The suit says that Songz tried to grab the phone from Jeffries and that when she would not turn it over, he “instructed his driver to stop the vehicle in order to forcibly remove plaintiff from the vehicle.”
