‘Jealous’ woman ran over her BOYFRIEND for cheating with her sister, Inadvertently kills innocent pedestrian [video]

CINCINNATI, OHIO:  An  Ohio woman, Taahviya Chapman, 24, decided she didn’t want to live her life as a free woman anymore.

Chapman casually tossed her whole life in the trash during  a jealous fit of rage, after finding out her baby father was cheating with her sister.

On August 31, Taahviya used her minivan to run over the father of her baby, Jawon Khalid Lunsford,  before plowing into an innocent pedestrian, Christopher Griffith, 58,  outside a Kroger store.

near Spring Grove Avenue on August 31. Griffith, who was seen using a cane and making his way into the store when he was mowed down, died in hospital while Lunsford suffered a broken leg.

Taahviya stayed in the car as Jawon, walked into the store to shop.

While inside Taahviya allegedly went through his phone, as she suspected he and her sister had been messaging each other, WXIX reported.

As Jawon left the store, he walks out to the curb towards the car.  He sees Taahviya coming closer and then suddenly she speeds up, running into him.

Once she hit him, the in-avertedly hit Christopher Griffith — an innocent man, on a cane, walking across a crosswalk to get to Kroger.  Christopher was just steps away from being safely inside the store.

Hamilton County Prosecutor Joe Deters said, “As Jawon left Kroger, she took this 3-ton vehicle and plowed into him and plowed into Christopher Griffith — an innocent man, on a cane, walking across a crosswalk to get to Kroger.”

Griffith, who was just a few steps away from being safely in store before being hit with Taahviya’s car, died in hospital while Christopher survived with injuries.

If that wasn’t shocking enough, Chapman then jumps out of her vehicle, heads straight over to Javon who is on the ground injured with a broken leg, and proceeds to beat him.

“Her car was disabled,” Deters explained. “She exited the vehicle leaving her 8-month-old baby in the car and proceeds to go to her boyfriend and start beating him after he’s been run over by this car.”

While she beat Javon, bystanders walked over to Christopher attempting to help him.

Because she left the child in the car, Deters said a grand jury chose to indict her on child endangerment charges on top of the charges of aggravated murder, murder, felonious assault and attempted murder.

Chapman is facing life in prison and has a history of brash behavior.

Last week when Chapman appeared in court, documents surfaced that alleged she had previously lost custody of a four-year-old child.

That child is now in the custody of her father. As for the 8-month-old, Deters said he believes the child is in the custody of the Hamilton County Department of Job and Family Services.

A DIFFERENT ANGLE

A dark blue minivan shown in surveillance footage released by the DA’s office can be seen hitting two pedestrians outside the supermarket at an extremely high speed. Before the crowd could gather, the driver exits the van, runs to the victims and repeatedly strikes Lunsford.

Then she quickly walks out of the frame of the footage when the crowd gathers before returning back to the drivers seat of the vehicle and exciting via the passenger side front door a few moments later.

Reports said the onlookers restrained the defendant when she tried to flee after the crash.

“What this woman did is sickening,” the Hamilton County Prosecutor said in a press release. “Her total disregard for human life is stunning. This woman didn’t care about the lives she put in danger – including her own 8-month-old child. That level of selfishness is impossible to understand, but we will do everything in our power to ensure she spends the rest of her life in prison.”

Champman is being held on a $500,000 bond. She has court dates of September 12  and also a court date set for September 21, 2022, over the child custody charge. Her 8-month old baby is currently with CPS.

The man Chapman killed ran a non-profit aimed at driver safety.
