Latto Denies Claim She Requested to Sample Lil Wayne’s “Lollipop” But Was Denied

Latto appeared to deny a seemingly fake report that she asked Lil Wayne to sample his hit song “Lollipop” but her request was denied.

Blogs posted today claiming that Weezy denied the 777 rapper’s request to sample his iconic 2008 single “Lollipop.” However, Latto has suggested that she made no such request and hasn’t even made a song that samples the track.

“POV: u don’t even have a song sampling lollipop 😂😂😂😂,” she wrote in a since-deleted tweet. The tweet cited Hits Daily Double as the source.

The tweet comes not long after Latto publicly traded shots with Nicki Minaj, who is obviously a very close collaborator of Lil Wayne.

“Damn I can’t win for losing… all these awards/noms I can’t even celebrate,” Latto responded before a private conversation ensued between the two rappers in which Minaj called Latto a “Karen.” Screenshots from that conversation were posted by Minaj and have since been deleted.
