Master P Reponds To Son Blasting Him on Social Media: “I’ve never been paid for anything I’ve accomplished as Lil Romeo”

The family dispute between Master P and his son, Romeo Miller, came to a head on social media over the weekend, with the two exchanging, jabs, insults and accusations.

On Friday, Dec. 16, just 9 days before Christmas, Romeo criticized his father for the way the hip-hop mogul handled the May 2022 death of his daughter Tytyana Miller, 29, who passed away from an accidental fentanyl overdose.

Romeo, 33, accused the his No Limit Records founder father of ignoring his sister Tytyana ‘s mental health struggles, yet publicly addressing the death of a stranger, DJ Stephen “tWitch” Boss, who died by suicide on Dec. 13.

Master P was one of many celebrities to express their sorrow and condolences in response to Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss’ shocking death. On Wednesday, the No Limit founder posted a throwback clip of tWitch dancing with Snoop Dogg on the Ellen Show.

“RIP TO THE ONE AND ONLY DANCING #DJTWITCH AND SALUTE @SNOOPDOGG FOR CELEBRATING HIM!,” HE CAPTIONED THE POST.

“These are crazy times we are living in, you can be smiling one day and Gone the next! He was suppose to be a guest DJ on a concert we were having Jan. 13th. Life is Too Short, Appreciate your loved ones……………. #Mentalillness is Real.”

In response Romeo expressed disdain for his 52-year-old father, on social media.

“Today was a boiling point,” Romeo wrote in an Instagram Story captured by Hip Hop DX. “I seen a man avoid his own children [sic] struggle with suicide and depression but post [about] another man who passed today that he doesn’t even know. Y’all idols be lost. Better stop following the blind. Watch when it’s revealed.”

Romeo who went by the rap stage name of “Lil Romeo,” when he was younger accused his father of never paying him for the money he earned early in his rapping and acting career, except to give him a “gift or a car.”

“I’ve never been paid for anything I’ve accomplished as Lil Romeo,” he wrote.

“This was my last straw pops, stop trying to play the victim,” Romeo wrote in the comments. “I loved you so much that I followed you blindly for 30+yrs. You know we’ve talked behind closed doors. You aren’t the man who you paint to be and why is it war because I refuse to follow ur lead. You only want to protect your image, but the image isn’t even real. And I don’t need anyone to feel sorry for me pops, I’m truly a man of God. If you are really a man of God, then you will prevail in the end, even when I share my truth. I’ve tried to keep things in house, you are addicted to social media and unfortunately use this app as therapy. 3k plus post. When the world find out about the finances, outside of a gift or a car I’ve never been paid for anything I’ve accomplished as Lil Romeo.”

Romeo continued to criticize his father with a poem he shared Sunday on Instagram titled “The Tree of Trauma.” Romeo said he wrote the poem and addressed it to “Giants,” such as his father. He took issue with his dad throughout the poem and accused Master P, real name Percy Miller, of neglecting the rest of his nine children.

“Why is it that I’m soaring and my siblings are not? Probably because our father didn’t give them the same time on the clock,” the poem read.

Romeo also noted that P didn’t treat the mother of his kids very well.

The saga continued Sunday, with Master P utilizing the Instagram platform to issued a written and statement via video.

“I wouldn’t wish this on no parent, especially when you try to do everything you can for your kids.@romeomiller What’s the plan? You are either part of the problem or the solution. I love you and the door is always open for you, but I won’t tolerate disrespect. I haven’t talked to you or seen you in months. God knows I’ve tried to do my best,” he wrote.

Master P, followed up with a second post saying he was confused by Romeo’s comments.

“I thought this was about DJ Twitch and about my daughter’s death. This is heartbreaking, you just exposed that this is REALLY ABOUT MONEY,” he wrote. “I watched other celebrities go through this. I’m not playing into this anymore. GOD knows the Truth. I’M AT PEACE. I worked hard to get my family out the ghetto. This Hollywood shit gotta stop.”

The record executive and entrepreneur still had more to say, and recorded a lengthy video he shared on Instagram. He said it was out-of-character to reveal private family matters on the internet, but felt he had no other choice.

“I want to tell all the people out there that just don’t understand, how bad my heart hurts,” he said. “Romeo lost a sister and I lost a daughter … For any parent that’s going through this, I know death can bring people closer together or it can tear them apart.”

He went on to urge his son to be more appreciative.

“I come from nothing y’all, and I could go back. I’m cool with it. I won’t be angry at God. I won’t go get upset. I won’t be mad and be disrespectful to my parents or none of that stuff. I’ll just say, ‘Dad, thank you for putting me in this world. Now I can get out and hustle and go do my thing,” he said. “That’s the problem. When you take kids and you protect them from the real struggle and the pain and you don’t allow them to deal with their own consequences, they grow older and say, ‘oh, you never gave me nothing.”

Later, he apologized and offered his son an olive branch.

“I love my family. My door is always open for my son. To be honest, we shouldn’t have to go through this, and if I’m wrong, forgive me. I’m apologizing to you if I’m wrong,” he said. “I’m still a work in progress.”

Hopefully they find peace, calm and healing. There is no point of judging from the outside looking in. P did pull his entire family out of poverty and made Romeo a star.
