Over the weekend, NLE Choppa dropped some visuals for his “Sl*t Me Out” video featuring the infamous Sukihana.
If you know Suki you know she claims to have sold her soul to the devil and pretty much does not do anything respectable or lady like, yet she’s pretty intelligent.
In the latest Sukihana branding Choppa dog walks Suki and another woman, causing controversy on social media and the conversation about how black women appear in music videos.
The Shade Room Reports:
NLE Choppa appeared to ‘dog-walk’ Sukihana and rapper Sexxy Red for a music video. The optics–a Black man using the hair of two Black women on their hands and knees as leashes–didn’t sit well with some folks online.
On that list was also Lil Mama, who commented on The Shade Room’s now-deleted post, which had over 28,000 comments. After Sukihana responded, Lil Mama dedicated a lengthy letter about image and lasting influence to the rapper.
Mama tagged Suki and said Suki addressed her personally even though Lil Mama allegedly didn’t do so. Then, she explained how she felt about the music video’s creative direction.
“You could of been any Blacc woman in that video I posted a comment under. The way I feel still stands,” Lil Mama wrote. “I feel like women these days will know BETTER and still play a role in setting us bacc centuries.”
The Lip Gloss rapper admitted she deleted the comment because she “didn’t want to offend” Sukihana or “anyone else partaking in that disturbing clip.”
Lil Mama added:
“I don’t know you, but I don’t want our daughters to remember us like this. Or feel this what they “need to do to survive” and if that’s the excuse anybody come up with in 2023. That’s CAP.”
