Nicki Minaj Goes Live As She is ARRESTED in Amsterdam

What looks like it may have been something to get attention is actually the real thing.

Authorities in Amsterdam arrested Nicki Minaj for alleged drug possession, per an Instagram Live and a series of posts on X the rap superstar shared Saturday.

The Dutch Military Police, in a statement, said a 41-year-old woman was arrested for trying to leave the country while in “possession of soft drugs, which is prohibited.”

Marijuana pre-rolls were apparently found in her bags.  An official can be heard saying in the Live video that they wanted to take the Grammy nominee into custody for allegedly “carrying drugs” — which she denied. It’s said that the drugs belonged to her security.

“I’m not going in there. I need a lawyer present,” Minaj, 41, argued while seemingly at an airport.

The “Barbie World” rapper took to social media Saturday and shared two videos, the first of which she posted on Instagram showing her recording from inside her van and speaking to what appears to be an airport official. The video starts mid-conversation, and you can hear Minaj ask, “Tell me again.”

The official says, “Police officer told me we have to offload all the luggage and search everything.”

The official apologizes for the inconvenience, prompting Minaj to ask why police didn’t search her luggage before it was loaded on the plane. The official says it was a “random” check, though he also says it was prompted after the police officer said Minaj filmed him.

Minaj took to X to update her followers on the dramatic events. “Now they said they found weed & that another group of ppl have to come here to weigh the pre-rolls. Keep in mind they took my bags without consent. My security has already advised them those pre-rolls belong to him. Oh yea & the pilot wants me to take my ig post down,” she wrote in one post.
