Married Man Arrested For Choking Woman with Belt & R*ping Her Between 2 Parked Cars Turned In By His Mother
Beverly Parks, the Brooklyn mother or a deranged man who was allegedly caught on camera lassoing a woman by looping a belt around her neck, then dragging her unconscious and r*ping her said she stayed up all night convincing her ‘sicko son’ to turn himself to law enforcement.
“I’m his mother that turned him in. I’m the one that facilitated him being arrested,” an exhausted Beverly Parks, 56, told The Post of her son Kashaan Parks.
Beverly claimed that Parks’ wife called her early Friday morning and told her he had choked and r*ped a woman.

On Saturday Beverly said: “I found out about this yesterday morning at 5:12 am, and I’ve been trying to get my son to do the right thing ever since. And I did.”
Kashaan Parks, 39, was arrested Saturday and charged with first-degree r*pe, assault, strangulation, sex abuse, public lewdness and harassment for the May 1 attack, police said.
Gut-wrenching video footage allegedly shows a masked Kashaan Parks approaching the victim from behind with belt in hand at around 3 a.m., tossing it around the woman’s neck and pulling her down to the ground, authorities said.
The attacker then dragged the woman between two parked cars and r*ped her on a Bronx street.
Kashaan is an unemployed, married father of two who has been struggling with drinking and drug issues in recent weeks, since learning his father died last month in a hospital in Belize, according to his mom.
“He … had a one-year-old baby. It’s not like he was walking the street committing crimes and doing this,” she said.
“I had my son go be accountable for his actions, no matter that he was drunk, that he was on drugs, that he was grieving,” she added.
“He did something wrong and he has to deal with it. Period.”
Kashaan, his wife and their young daughter had been living in North Carolina, where they staying with the wife’s parents, but recently moved back, Beverly Parks said.
“I said [to Kashaan], ‘I wish I had left you down there and never made that trip,” she recalled. “He just came back from New York. That’s why this was such a shock.”
Kashaan Parks has two prior public arrests, including for allegedly assaulting a 46-year-old woman in the Bronx and entering the back of an MTA bus without paying, according to police.
Beverly Parks said she hoped the victim could find a way to forgive her son.
“I’m a woman, and I am sorry that this happened to this person. I have to open and close my eyes every day, and ask God to make sure this person is okay and for forgiveness for my son.
“Whatever she has to live with, I am going to have to think about that for the rest of my life.”
It sucks to be his wife and know that your husband would rather go outside and r*pe a woman instead of coming home and having FREE, sex with you. Today is mother’s day and her husband was literally arrested yesterday.
Rashaan’s wife has already changed her Facebook profile header to a blank picture, and turned off comments so that only friends can comment. She has no photos of their wedding or anything and the only pics that exist are pics with the kds.
Some men are willing to get married, but that doesn’t mean you should marry them. Rashaan is a perfect example of that.
Someone on social media commented on a photo on his wife’s page and said: “I’m sorry for what you are going though.” And the wife replied “thank you your the first person on social media to say this.”
