Dr. Dre’s wife says she felt afraid after he forced her to sign a prenup

All I can hear right now is Kanye West screaming “We want prenup!”

Super producer Dr Dre‘s marriage is coming to an end, and unlike other celebrities who say their split is amicable, Dre is in for a fight to keep his dollars.

Dr. Dre’s estranged wife recently filed documents claiming that there is no longer a prenup in her marriage, because Dre ripped up the pre-nup a few years later, after they were married.

Nicole admits to signing the prenup under duress, days before the wedding, only to later have Dre rip up the pre-nup as a sign of his love for her.

According to the Blast: In her declaration she said: ‘I must sign a premarital agreement or he would not marry me. I was extremely, reduction, resistant, and afraid to sign the agreement and felt backed into a corner.’ And she said she was ‘left with no option but to sign it “unwillingly.”‘

According to the documents, she said Dre ‘destroyed the agreements as a grand gesture of his love for Nicole and his desire to have a marriage free of any financial restrictions governing their respective rights and responsibilities.’ 

Dre agreed to pay Nicole spousal support, but when it comes to the division of property Dre defaulted back to the prenup and wants the agreement to stand.

In the documents, Dre’s wife is clear, even if someone on his team has a copy of the document they signed in the late 1990’s — it is unenforceable, and shouldn’t be considered in this divorce.
